# Family Gift

> Family Gift is a free collaborative gift list application available on iOS, Android, and Web, designed to share gift wishlists with family and friends while keeping gifts a complete surprise.

## Overview

Family Gift eliminates duplicate presents, awkward exchanges, and spoiled surprises for birthdays, Christmas, weddings, baby showers, and holiday events. Users can create wishlists, organize family members and friends into separate households, secretly reserve or co-finance gifts, and track physical gifts through preparation stages (Purchased, Wrapped, Offered).

## Core Capabilities & Features

- **Collaborative Wishlists**: Add gift ideas with custom titles, images, descriptions, prices, and direct store URLs.
- **Secret Reservations & Surprises**: Friends and family can reserve gifts or contribute to shared gifts in secret. The list owner never sees who bought what until the gift is opened.
- **Physical Gift Status Workflow**: Track gifts along a real-life progress pipeline:
  - *Not Purchased (Non acheté)*
  - *Purchased (Acheté)*: Displays the purchaser's name to household members (hidden from the recipient).
  - *Wrapped (Emballé)*: Keep track of wrapped gifts ready for the event.
  - *Offered (Offert)*: Mark gifts as given and archive them cleanly.
- **Multi-Household Management**: Create and join multiple distinct groups (e.g., immediate family, in-laws, friends, colleagues) with unique invitation codes.
- **Secret Santa Generator**: Built-in automated Secret Santa draw with custom exclusion rules and private assignments.
- **Child Profiles Management**: Parents can create and manage gift wishlists for their children under a single account without requiring separate email logins.
- **Cross-Platform & 100% Free**: Available as a Progressive Web App (PWA) and native mobile apps on iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play), with no ads and full privacy protection.
